Interview

  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
I think everyone should know that I don’t take life too seriously. Life is short, take every bit of fun and happiness you can. It’s the only way to live. It’s the way I live.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
Im usually the one who isn’t taking a picture of an event or sunset or whatever. I’m there. In that moment. Experiencing it. The future is so important, but we have to get there through the now. So experience the now to have the future.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
I think it would have to be my averageness. It’s intimidating looking at some of the people in this industry. They all look so incredible, I’m sure they all work more often than I do. I’m happy for them, but my niche is just Average Joe, getting to know new people, hearing their stories, and having a great time!
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love playing card games, I’ll school you in a game of cribbage! I have a couple of house plants…well a small jungle. I currently have 48 of them. There were a few more, however the dog thought they would be fun to mow down with his tail.
  • How do you go that ‘extra mile' in your life?
I’m a classic worrier. I’ll seem like I’m really clingy at times, but it’s because I’m worried about something, like road conditions, the cold you have, if you have all the things you need to do your day to day. That’s my love language. That’s how I make sure someone gets the extra mile. I make sure they have everything they need, even if it’s at my expense.
  • What do you do for fun?
Watch terrible action movies from the 80s and 90's. Eat so much food. Drive too fast. Laundry. Clean. Paint. Plan trips. Go on trips. Live.
  • Tell us what you consider to be your greatest life experience.
I can’t pick one. They are all great. Every experience we have is something that makes us who we are as people. To pick out one would be impossible. I’m the sum of all my past experiences. All the good, the bad and the ugly are part of me. So I guess the greatest is the one where I get to experience life now.
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
I am fiercely protective of those close to me. I can't stand by and watch an injustice against someone I love slide by. It has gotten me into some less than ideal situations, but I would do it again and again. Every time.
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
Precovid, all the time. In the year before the lockdowns, I went to 7 states, 2 other countries, one other continent, drove 2500 miles in a car with my mom, was on about 30 flights. Saw both sides of the Pacific Ocean, went to Graceland, The White House, the Sixth Floor Museum, the William J Clinton presidential library, the San Diego Zoo, so many places. I miss travel so much. The world isn’t that big, I want to see it all.
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
I eat pretty balanced. I’ve recently learned to enjoy cooking. So I tend to just cook a lot healthier versions of the junk food I’m used to. As for fitness, I stay active. I do a lot of stairs. Mostly because I’m trying to find my car keys.
  • What’s your lifestyle? What makes you who you are?
It used to be simple, then things happened and now it’s different simple. What makes me who I am is the sum of all my experiences. From rocking a mullet as a kid to taking a bat to the forehead(12 stitches) to supporting my family when I needed to. The human experience is what makes me who I am. The experience is worth way more than the climax. At least I think so.
  • What would you like your followers to know about you that is unique and even a bit personal?
I am a horrific singer, and it doesn’t stop me at all. I like all kinds of music from top 40 to country to opera to death metal to classical. And everything in between.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
Probably everything. Something about the vast openness of the ocean that puts me at ease and relaxed. The warm sun, that breeze and the never ending sound of the waves. It’s magical.
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
I sometimes can come off a little harsh or abrasive. I’m told I should not be punctuating my text messages because it sounds to severe. So if you send a message and I put a period after a ‘lol’, it’s really just force of habit.
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
How is this even a question? I enjoy that I’m alive now the most. Every day is an adventure. Every day something new and wild comes around. The I enjoy the most about me is that I get to experience the world as it is now.
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.

    2) Quality watches
    3) Dogs
    4) Books
    5) 90's Action movies
